Henry Jjong
Okay, here we go again. Geoff and I can not stay away from dogs. We got this little guy last night. We originally named him Jjong (pronounced Chong), but decided we like Henry better. I think I am going to leave Jjong as his middle name. He is supposed to be a yorkshire terrier.
We were told that he was 8 weeks old, but seeing that his teeth are just coming in, I don't know how that can be. I have an appointment with the Vet at Camp Red Cloud on Tuesday. He is an army vet and speaks english, so maybe I can get some clarity as to what is going on with our baby. In the mean time I am hand feeding him watered down can dog food.
Just so you know the pet stores around here really want your money. They will take a baby away from its mom when it is 4 weeks old. Obviously they wanted our money really bad. We do love him, and are glad we saved him from the chopping block (just kidding). The entire dog situation is extremly misunderstood over here. Yes the do eat dog, but only at really nice restaurants. It is really expensive, like a really good cut steak in the U.S.. They started eating dogs a really long, long time ago because at the time the country was so poor and there were not any cows to eat. Everyone was starving so they decided to eat the family dog to stay alive. At least I think that is how the story goes. Actually many people have dogs as pets. They take them with them everywhere too. You can take them shopping and in the restaurants. The dogs that they eat are a special breed, and are raised on farms. I guess after they get so big they pack them on a truck and send them off to slaughter just like cows. Please pray that our little guy is okay.

HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND LOOKS HEALTHY. TAMMY SAID HE IS ADORABLE AND HAS A PICTURE OF HER YORKIES AT 8 WEEKS AND THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE. I BET THIS LITTLE FELLOW IS 3 TO 4 WEEKS OLD. I WENT BY THE VETS THIS MORNING AND BOUGHT SOME PUPPY VITAMINS. I WILL GET THEM IN THE MAIL ON FRIDAY. SO BE LOOKING FOR THEM. I WISH I COULD HOLD HIM. TALK TO YOU LATER LOVE YA'LL MUCH
Hey Lacey and Geoff!! he is so beautiful!! I love his name and looks like a yorkie. I think he is very young. I think he will be beautifully proportioned. Penelope had a shorter body but still does. I think he looks perfect. I heard you said he is a foot long. He looks tiny in the pictures. Congratulations!!!!!
Love, Haley
He is so cute! There were two teacup yorkies in the vet 2 days ago and they were tiny like Henry. They seemed calmer than most yorkies too. Will you bring him back to the states when y'all move back? Make sure he gets all the shots he will need for America too. You should get one of those carriers like Jessica Simpson has and take him everywhere. I can't wait to meet little Henry!!!
Hi ya'll,
Claire and I love the dog and wish we were there to play with him. We hope you bring him back to B'ham so we can meet him. I'm glad you'll have a little companion. My Mom and Dad lived in England when they first got married, and Mom bought a German Shepherd to keep her company. Claire says she's sending you a box with her size for the jelly shoes and some money for you to buy her some. She's hoping they have them in her size. You can just send them back to her in the box, so you don't have to buy a new box she said. We're loving seeing all of your pictures and feeling connected to you two--three now that Henry's there.

Hey Lace! I love Henry and he will know who is the favorite relative, Austin & Dylan of course and then me j/k. He is so little. He looks like a perfect pet for you and Geoff. I am with Ashley, you should get a carrier, you could probably get a knock off real cheap.
Talk to you later and we hope you feel better.
I love you!
Holly
What? A teacup? Not a "King" sized dog for your teacup-sized apartment? hahahahaha. I still think about that poor dog.
Henry is totally cute.
Shoot, you can make little Henry a carrier - OUR Lacey can make ANYTHING! I love keeping up with you! It sounds like you're having so much fun! I love all the pics. You are learning so much and becoming so "cultured". You are definitely going to be my relative who "can do anything" and "has been everywhere" and "knows a little about everything!!!" Love you!
Lacey- I have enjoyed reading your blogs. Please keep posting because everything is very interesting. I think you missed your calling in journalism. Your dog is cute. Let me know how to cook dog because I am looking forward to eating Jasper filets when he dies. - Chris
We will not be eating any Jasper or Henry. I didn't know you were sick Lacey. You look so skinny and tan!!! Love you.
