Yes, that is what it looks like, I got all the way through the heel turn and took the entire thing apart. I just did not like the pattern of the leg part. And then, I forgot and started doing a 2x2 rib pattern on the instep stitches after I started the gusset, so for the 3rd time I started over. When it comes to these crafts I get so anal and crazy. Everything has to be perfect.
Here is the yarn after I took the entire sock apart. Maybe someone slipped some crack into my Special K that morning, I don't know.
I know this is not a very clear peicture, but I did just used the 2x2 rib pattern through out this time. I am about to start the heel turn, so I am making great progress.
Geoff just left for a 2 week long exercise in the field. Hopefully since I am almost done with this sock, maybe I will have the pair done by the time he gets home. I am sorry I have not been updating my blog as often. Life is very boring here. I did go back to Dongdaemun, and found row, and rows of yarn. Any kind you can think of. I know that I will be going back soon so I can find some lucious fibers for the October Birthday Swap, and the Chocolate Swap. I can't wait for both.
I did start PWOC this week. That is the miliary ladies bible study. Unfortunately it is in Yongsan, so in order to make it there on time I have to get up at 4:30a.m. on Wed. That is so I can catch the 6:00 bus down there. It is a 2 hour ride. That is why I got so much of that sock done, so fast. Of course I slept most of the way back. That is all I know for now. I promise I will try to post again soon. Until next time!

Saturday we went back down to Dondaemun, because I heard about this craft store. You know how when I went before and there were all those clothes booths set up. Well that was how this was. I know my pictures are not that clear, but it was row and rows of fabric vendors. And it was very cheap. I got four yards, of 64 inch fabric for 11 dollars. It was almost a bit overwhelming. You would find some material that you wanted to buy, but you were afraid to, because you might find something that you liked better at another booth.
The first floor there was every kind of lace, cord, button, and belt clip that you can imagine. If you can imagine rows and rows set up like this for buttons. I bought 5 belt clips for a dollar.
Unfortunately I only made it to the 1st two floors. I could tell that Geoff and my friends husbands patience were wearing thin. The good news is that Geoff is going to the field on Friday for 2 weeks, and my friend and I are going to take another trip down. That way, we can spend all day.
Yes, that is what you think it is. We finished the day in Yongsan. My friend made her husband get his eye brows waxed, because he was starting to look like a furby. So to help him out Geoff said her would try getting a manicure and pedicure. He really does have pretty finger nails now. I just couldn't resist posting that picture. He said that the manicure and pedicure were okay. He did not like the filing of the nails, and evidently they were to rough when they were massaging his feet and back. I did here them beating on him all the way across the room. Just so you won't think that he is gay for participating in such a girlie activity, there were about 5 other guys getting the same thing done.
On a crafting note, I got all the way through the heel of one sock, and decided I did not like the pattern. I tore it all out and am not starting over with a pattern that I do like. I will post pictures of the tote bags that I make with the fabric I bought when I am finished. Until next time!
